School/Building: Maple Lane Elementary

Education/Background:
I have a Bachelor of Sciene in Occupational Therapy. I have been employed at MISD for 15 years as an occupational therapist, primarily working with emotionally impaired children. Prior to working at the MISD, I was employed by Waterford Public Schools at Montgomery Development Training Center, and Jackson County Intermediate School District before that. I have completed 9 credit hours towards compeletion of a Master's Degree. I am completing my certification as a yoga instructor, hoping to teach children and adults the benefits of a yoga lifestyle.

Personal Information:
I have been blessed with three beautiful children. My son, Kenny, and his wife, Christine, live in Queens with their daughters, Katie and Rebecca. Kenny works in Manhattan as a financial analyst. My son, David, attends Wayne State University, working towards a degree in secondary education. My daughter, Stephanie, also lives in New York, traveling throughout the United States while employed in events marketing. I love being active, enjoying the outdoors immensly, but equally enjoy curling up with a good book. I love music (who doesn't?). And oh, how I love to dance The only thing I might enjoy more is laughing.

Personal goal for union activity:
My personal goal is to become better informed in regards to politics and the role it plays in our daily lives, and then to share that information with my fellow colleauges.
