V. Counting the Ballots
  • The election committee will do the counting after 5:00 p.m. on voting day.
  • Challengers may be present
  • The counting procedures:
    1. The Executive Board will direct the election committee on how to count and report the ballot.
    2. The outer envelope is checked against the master polling list, removed, and the unmarked inner envelope placed separately.
    3. The unmarked envelopes are opened and ballots counted.
    4. The results are compiled into a report with all ballot disposition noted and is signed by each member of the committee.
    5. The report is delivered to the President and the Executive Board to be duly published.
    6. The counted ballots are sealed into a ballot box and stored in a safe place.
    7. Disposal of all ballots will be made after one (1) year
    8. The procedure for counting electronic ballots will be determined by a 3/4 vote of the Executive Board.
