Personal Information:
I have two children, Erin and Thomas. My daughter is an intern in Medical School and my son is studying for this Doctoral Degree in Cultural Anthropology. I have just completed my certification to teach yoga and will begin teaching for MISD employees in January. All are welcome to attend, but please email me for times and dates!
Personal goal for union activity:
My personal goal has always been and will continue to be to work for fair working conditions, health care coverage, pensions for retirement and a living wage for all workers. Simply put, it means having compassion for all people. Under the current conditions, it has been necessary to become involved in the political action arena to insure that the goals of the union continue to exist. Legislators cannot enact legislation that will strip us of our rights to collectively bargain and go after our health care coverage as well as our retirement benefits. They can also determine our class size, length of our prep time and work day, as well as our curriculum. This is the time for all of us to become involved so that we can insure a future for public education. Please email me if you would like to join the political action committe or could help in any way.
