School/Building: Support and Related Services - Millar

Education/Background:
I Master's Degree from Oakland University in Physical Therapy. Prior to being hired at the MISD, I worked in several outpatient PT clinics. Before I obtained my degree in physical therapy, I worked in construction for almost 30 years.

Personal Infomation:
My wife, Theresa, is a school social worker in Chippewa Valley Schools. I have a daughter, Taylor, who is a junior at Romeo High School. Personally, I enjoy golfing, fishing, and riding bicycles. In fact, I rode almost 300 miles last summer to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation of Michigan.

Personal goal for union activity:
To instill in all members the importance of unions and how they will become even more important in the future, given the current political climate of this country. As I noted earlier, I worked in a union climate for almost 30 years and was more than happy when I was hired in another union position. I was always concerned while working as a contract employee that I did not have union protection, and my job was at the mercy and whim of others.
